WHIRLWIND DOES spin slightly once the pendant is gently shaken.

Paying tribute to one of the great inventions in watchmaking - the ‘Tourbillon’ was born 221 years ago in the month of June. The invention of the Tourbillon mechanism was patented by Swiss-French watchmaker Abraham-Louis Breguet on June 26, 1801.

The purpose was to defy the effects of gravity and improve accuracy in pocket watches. We love these great boundary-pushing ideas from an epic time of inventive minds.

Introducing June’s specialty: ‘WHIRLWIND’
For the first time, we've custom-made a watch mechanism specifically as a piece of jewellery. Encased within a silver Cartouche lies a skeletonised mechanism, replete with brass cogs, blued steel screws, and ruby jewels.

PENDANT: Cartouche. 33mm x 12.5mm.

MATERIAL: Sterling Silver 925. Stainless Steel Chain.

MECHANISM: Skeleton, (Modern) China, 2023.

WHICH CHAIN? WHIRLWIND is a medium sized pendant. The Box chain at Medium (60cm) works well casually on a shirt, or opt to wear it with a Short chain (45cm) for a more visible look.
Processing Times: 1-3 Days to handcraft your order.

Australia: 1-2 Working Days

International: 8-12 Working Days
What chain length should I pick?

MEDIUM (60cm) is by far our most popular choice, as it sits around chest height. SHORT (45cm) can be suitable if you’d like to wear the pendant closer to your neck, and LONG (75cm) works well with larger designs. Check our Sizing Guide for more help (you can find this below the price).

Does the watch still work?

Our watch mechanisms are upcycled from vintage, obsolete timepieces that were beyond repair. They are purely decorative and do not work anymore, unless specified so!
